Is this the start of the tip? Sony Mobile might be about to close their operations in quite a few areas, in accordance to a tweet from Evan Blass (@evleaks). Evan says that Sony Mobile will shut down its “operations and offices” in Middle East, Africa and Turkey by October.
If true, this will likely be a large blow to followers in the area – we all know that there quite a few passionate and loyal followers throughout these international locations. We have seen Sony Mobile retrench from different areas in the previous, so this might be one other transfer by Sony to refocus its efforts on Japan and Europe. We simply hope that if this information seems to be true, it doesn’t mark the start of the tip of Sony’s cellular journey.
Bad information for Sony Mobile followers in the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa: I am listening to that the company will “shut down its operations and offices” in the area by October.
