Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ dummies pose with other devices in a new video

With the rate at which Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ is leaking, we wonder if Samsung actually did something to quell the leaks in the first place. You name it and we have seen it all renders, live images and video.  The latest video leaked shows the dummies of Galaxy S8 and S8+ in comparison with different other devices in the market which gives you an idea about the size of the device.

The video is in Chinese language but that does not at all stop us from analyzing and and discussing about it all. Along with that this is the first high resolution video which we have seen of the devices making the experience enjoyable. The user has made use of dummy units but that gives us a clear idea about how Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ with their 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch display fare with the others in the market.

Even with the 5.8-inch display and 6.2-inch display, the devices aren’t overly large than what we find in the market. Galaxy S8+ and iPhone 7 Plus are pretty close in size, given that Galaxy S8+ is 0.7-inches larger n display size. Along with that Galaxy S8+ is a bit smaller and narrower as compared to Honor V9. As far as the Galaxy S8 goes, it is taller but narrower than iPhone 7.

The video also talks about the different features of the device like the camera specs, how Bixby will work out an more. Have a look at the video and let us know what you think.

Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro gets certified by FCC

Samsung back in January introduced Galaxy C7 Pro in China. According to the new report, Galaxy C7 Pro is now headed to the US as it got certified by the FCC. The smartphone with the model number SM-C701F/DS was given the FCC certificate ID – A3LSMC701F.

The C Pro series aims at giving users premium specs with an affordable price pint and to date the devices in this series have impressed.  Galaxy C7 Pro features a 5.7 inch Full HD Super AMOLED display. Under the hood it features Qualcomm Snapdragon 626, paired with a 4GB RAM and  a 64 GB of native storage which can be extended.

The camera is the highlight of the device as a 16MP camera adorns both the front and the rear of the device. The smartphone runs Android Marshmallow but it is expected that it will get the Nougat update soon. The smartphone is powered by a 3,300mAh battery which is non-removable.

As the smartphone has gotten certified in US, it means that it will be hitting the shelves soon. Apart from that Galaxy C7 Pro will be arriving in rest of the global markets soon.

Samsung launches a new teaser for Galaxy S8 in South Korea

Samsung does not want people to forget about its upcoming flagship. Daunted by LG G6 sales, Samsung started off their promotional campaign for Galaxy S8 a few days ago. Now they have another promotional teaser for us which features a countdown to number 8 and indicates ‘Completion and a new Beginning’

The 15 second teaser starts in the same way that first teaser did, bouncing balls till number 8. The you see a young man heading towards the door which is shaped with rounded corners similar to what we see with Galaxy S8. The door opens to a ‘dynamic galaxy‘ with asteroids and rocks popping here and there. Assessing from the teaser Samsung is hinting at the VR elements that are  apart of the device and maybe some AR feature s as well. We haven’t heard about the AR features to date, so a bit skeptical about it.

Samsung will be announcing Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ on March 29th, in the teaser it is March 30th as there is a huge time difference between London and New York where the unpacked event will take place. The smartphone will come in 3 colors of Black Sky, Arctic Silver and Orchid Grey.

Galaxy S8 to launch in China on May 10th

Chinese consumers are not going to be happy about the latest information on Samsung’s new flagship. Galaxy S8 is expected to launch globally on April 21st. According to the new information that was posted on Weibo, Galaxy S8 will launch in China on May 10th.

No apparent reasons have been provided for the delay.  Samsung is already bringing their S-series flagship quite late in the market. Two apparent reasons for that are : i) Testing and re-testing devices so that no issues similar to the one Note 7 faced occur and ii) Low yield of the 10nm chipset used in the device. Galaxy S8 in China will be equipped with Snapdragon 835 chipset and even with Samsung’s first dibs on the chipset, low production rates are the major cause of delay.

Samsung pulls off an LG tactic, hints at features that Galaxy S8 has on pre-registration page

Unless you are living under a rock, you would know that Samsung will be announcing their new flagship devices Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ later this month. With a few days left, the rumor mills is going strong and everyday we get to see something new, today we got to see the back panels of the device leak along with the info that there may indeed be a violet colored Galaxy S8. Now it seems like not only tipsters but Samsung itself is taking part in teasing us about the different features that Galaxy S8 has. On the Galaxy 8 pre-registration page the company is asking people what features would they like Galaxy S8 to have.

Samsung seems to be pulling off an LG tactic. LG just launched their latest flagship LG G6 in South Korea. Before that the company had started off their aggressive marketing campaign in January with their ‘Ideal Smartphone’ promo leading to them dropping hints in the invitations about the smartphone’s battery, AI assistant and even the camera features it will come with. Even though Samsung did not overtly come up with something like that but it is good that the company itself is taking a part in teasing people the different features Galaxy S8 will come with.

The page gives people five options to assess the different features that they are looking for: Superior camera, Stylish and Premium design, Enhanced battery life, Powerful gaming experience and Enhanced Virtual Reality experience. We already know that with Galaxy S8, the company has changed the design by removing the home button and increasing the screen-to-body ratio. The all screen dual curve display called the ‘Infinity Display‘ gives the device an amazing look if the leaked live images are something to go by.

As the company is using the Snapdragon 835 and Exynos 8895 chipset both of which have been produced using the 10nm fabrication process. These chipsets are 25% faster and 20% more energy efficient than their predecessor, so well the enhanced battery life is something that can be delivered with the new SoC. VR and the powerful gaming experience can be delivered through the high end specs and the Infinity display. The ‘Superior Camera’ specs are a bit doable as Samsung will be using the same camera specs used in Galaxy S7. Maybe they have something new uo their sleeve which we haven’t heard about, but that remains to be seen.

To undermine LG G6 sales, Samsung launched their ad campaign in South Korea over the weekend, so it will be interesting to see what Samsung pulls off next.

Pre-orders for Sony Xperia XZs start in Europe, selected retailers offer Sony SRS-XB30 speaker free

Sony announced 4 new Xperia smartphones at the Mobile World Congress from mid range to a stunning high-end smartphone. After announcements, the smartphones are all set to hit the market shelves soon. Xperia XZ Premium will be arriving in June as the processor used, Snapdragon 835 is causing the delay. Xperia XA1 will be arriving in Europe in April in April 11th. Now Xperia XZs is up for pre-order in Europe and will be launched on April 5th.

Even though Xperia XZ Premium stole the show, Xperia XZs also comes with the same camera sensor capable of capturing 960 frames per second slow motion video. In addition, the smartphone features a 5.2-inch 1080 x 1920p resolution display. The device is equipped with Snapdragon 820, paired with a 4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB native storage options. LG G6 to launch in USA on April

LG right now is basking in the successful launch of their latest flagship, G6. The smartphone was launched in South Korea yesterday and sold about 20,000 units. It’s predecessor, LG G5 sold only 15,000 units on its first day. Now the smartphone will be landing in other markets soon. LG G6 will be arriving in the US markets on April 7th. Evan Blass confirmed this aspect is a tweet also adding in the info that the white variant will not be making its way to the country.

LG with G6 adopted a different strategy. The modular G5 model was not successful, so LG with its design, features and specs adopted something that people would love and dubbed it the ‘Ideal Smartphone’. From the very start one of the notions that the company reinforced was that how the smartphone has been designed keeping in view what consumers want and that is what they have provided.

LG G6 features a 5.7-inch Quad HD display with a unique 18:9 aspect ratio. This is the first smartphone to follow this aspect ratio which makes the smartphone taller and narrower, making it easy to grip with one hand. Under the hood the smartphone has Snapdragon 821 SoC, paired with Adreno 530 GPU, a 4GB RAM and 32/64GB of native storage. The smartphone runs Android Nougat and is powered by a non-removable 3,300mAh battery due to which it has a IP68 certification. LG G6 has  13MP dual cameras with additional software optimization. The device also comes with the Google Assistant on board.

Initial reviews of the smartphone have been good, and LG smartly gotten their smartphone out early in the market to push sales in Samsung’s lastest flagships absence. Let’s see how successful LG is in their bid to do just that.

Fake Samsung Galaxy S8 on sale in China ahead of its official announcement

Well Samsung Galaxy S8 is one of the most buzz worthy flagships at the moment. With the official announcement of the device just a few weeks away the leaks and rumors are coming in hot! We have seen different renders, live images, videos and even a knock up of the device appear. Usually dupes/knockoff’s of a product appear after the real product arrives in the market. But with Galaxy S8, that hasn’t been the case, knock off’s have started appearing in the market even before the product has been announced. Earlier this week we saw images of a Galaxy S8 knock off. Now we have another set of mages courtesy of a poster at Weibo, showing a fake Galaxy S8.

The images were posted with the caption ‘Huaqiangbei is being abusive’. Huaqiangbei is known for having many electrical manufacturing plants as well as markets. So, it is probable that Samsung may have a plant there or a component producer or some company has decided to get on to the Galaxy S8 bandwagon by making a similar device.

Another interesting aspect is that the fake Galaxy S8 looks very similar to the one that we have seen in the leaked images with a few changes. Someone may have gotten their hands on a prototype and decided to make the device. As the smartphone is on, we can see that the software is not optimized for the 2:1 aspect ratio display that the device has. If you look closely, you will notice the black sections on both the top and the bottom of the display. In addition to that the Samsung branding can be seen at the bottom bezel, this has not been seen in the leaked images and videos yet. Now we are starting to wonder whether the company branding will be at the front or not.

Samsung will be announcing Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ on March 29th in dedicated events held in New York and London. Knowing Samsung it will be spectacular event and there is a lot riding on this flagship to get Samsung back on track of the premium handset game.

Samsung Galaxy S8 in a case caught in the wild

Another day, another Galaxy S8 leak. With a few days to go till its official launch, leaksters are doing their best to get out some information everyday so that we get to see the device from different angles. For the past few days images and supposed features of Galaxy S8 have been surfacing quite regularly giving is a very good idea as to what Samsung has in-store for us all.  A new image of Galaxy S8 has leaked online, showing the device in a protective case.

Well, the leaked image does not show anything new but it does confirm what key features will end up in Galaxy S8. Samsung will be announcing, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ this time around, there will be no Edge variant, as both the devices will have a dual curved display. There will be no home button and that is also confirmed from the image leaked. The removal of the home button has gives designers the chance to increase the screen to body display. As a result what we have is a device with minimal bezels giving the effect of an all glass device.

The Always On Display is in works in the leaked image. According to earlier reports, the smartphones will have on screen buttons which will be customizable. Apart from that, Samsung will also be introducing Bixby in these devices and maybe the facial recognition feature may also make its debut there.

Samsung will be announcing Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ on March 29, putting to rest all the speculations of what is in the device and what was left out.
